Oh Germany

So I don't think that I have actually blogged about Germany. Mainly for the fact that I don't want people to think that I am ungrateful... however Germany SUCKS sometimes!! I love when we can actually travel and see places that we have never been. I am looking forward to my mom coming in May and possibly going to the Netherlands and my in-laws coming in June and traveling around Italy. But I hate how everything is in German. Like our cell phone bill! So we are under one plan yet they take two separate payments out for mine and Blake's. So last month when I paid the cell phone bill under Blake's name, his phone got paid for and mine did not. So i will now have to wait until the next bill to get it paid and mine to be turned back on. I also miss the food in the states so much! I hate when I don't feel like cooking, our only choices for food is Burger King, McDonald's and the bowling alley. So that is my venting for the day, sorry for the complaining!! BUT......

I am super excited about Cale being born soon, and about family finally visiting, and about going to the states in August for my best friend's wedding!

My Heart Hurts

My heart has certainly been hurting since this weekend when I found out that my Nana (my mom's mom) had a stroke last Thursday night. The bad news was I didn't get the email until I was in the car on my way to Prague. So I was now stuck with no way to call home and check in. I only had email but that just wasn't good enough. When I got home on Sunday the first thing I did was call my family. Come to find out my Nana had a massive stroke Thursday night and they rushed her to the hospital. Her right side is paralyzed and she cannot talk. So I have been checking up on her everyday. I had a hard Sunday night, I was in a lot of pain because I cannot fly home. Sunday was my last day to fly because I am too far along in my pregnancy for it. I just wanted to go home and be with her and see her! The doctor practically told my family Friday night that my Nana was going to die and that she would probably never leave the hospital. I was thinking that Cale will never meet his great grandmother! I will never see my Nana again and I didn't know what to do. Thankfully Blake was here and just let me sit in his lap and boo hoo! He was great that night. BUT... last night when I called to check on her we have some GOOD NEWS!! This makes my heart happy and gives me hope!! Yesterday my Nana was accepted into a rehab program, they just had to get her stabilized and then they would move her into the rehab. So yesterday when some of the rehab people came in and wanted to see her, they stood her up for a couple of minutes, which is great! Then the speech rehab people came in they got a few sounds out of her, not any words but some grunts. And we will take what we can get! :) and p.s. my grandmother is from the north and my Aunt told my Nana that after rehab she might lose her northern accent and have a southern one, and my Nana shook her head no and smiled! Bless her heart she still has a sense of humor! :) anyways... since her stroke was on the left side of her brain, she is paralyzed on her right side of her body. Yesterday one of the rehab people pinched one of her right fingers she pulled back. So she has some sensation on her right side, which is great! Then when she was asked if they pinched her finger she shook her head yes. So that is the new good news, and I am praying that she will make a full recovery. I know it's selfish of me but I need my Nana to be ok. I need to see her again and I need her to meet her great grandson. Please pray for her daily that she will make a full recovery!
