I hate Germany because every time I tried to update the blog it didnt let me put pictures up so I quit!

2. Blake deployed... AGAIN
yes you read that right he is gone again. I cant believe it but that is our life and we knew that it would probably happen. Its weird though because this time it is easier and harder at the same time if that makes sense? It is easier because I know what to expect this time however it is harder because we have Cale now and Blake has to miss out on 6 months of his life. I hate that for Blake but at least Cale is so young that he wont really know, except for the pictures. And I told Blake that at least when he comes home he can wrestle around with Cale more than he can right now since he is still in the baby stage. Hurry up and wait, story of our lives!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-36Ca6GPTcqw/TmMaI5oavWI/AAAAAAAAAVg/b67hwWextUY/s320/DSC_0236%2B%252815%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648387097864355170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ta_0r94wG1g/TmMaJIlv31I/AAAAAAAAAVo/NZfd1Isj2kY/s320/DSC_0236%2B%252859%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648387101879689042" />
3. Cale and I moved to Alabama until Blake comes home
Blake left on August 9th and Cale and I headed home on August 10th. I didnt really want to hang out in Germany by myself too long. I had already been by myself the whole month of July because Blake was gone to schools so I had already missed him. I didnt want to be too emotional and Cale having to deal with me! :) My parents were extremely excited that we were coming home, but I'm not sure if they were ready to have a baby living with them!! :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ybCtXRxtmpQ/TmMbixbVA2I/AAAAAAAAAWI/Yxb08p0R7tg/s320/DSC_0238%2B%252818%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648388641850196834" />
4. My best friend got married... WHAT?!?
I cant believe it! Leigh got married and Cale was in the wedding! I'm not going to lie he was pretty cute!! He was carried in a wagon with our friend's little boy Colin. Which by the way is the cutest, sweetest and most adorable little boy. He was so exicted to hold the baby. Cale did great going down the aisle, he was just looking around at all the people. I cannot wait to see the pictures!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hM06rvBvSYY/TmMaJuGuijI/AAAAAAAAAV4/-xX-z2bKCdY/s320/DSC_0238%2B%252845%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648387111950125618" />
5. My son will be 4 months old in 3 days
I cannot believe that it has been 4 months since I gave birth to my sweet baby boy! He is growing up too fast! We will be trying baby food for the first time next weekend!! I will be feeding him and my mom will take pictures and then video tape it. We have to do what we have to do so that Blake wont really miss anything. And soon he will be rolling over. He is close but just not there yet.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xE7nN0pCjX8/TmMaJ1YTkBI/AAAAAAAAAWA/v21EctXmXT4/s320/306062_530355507480_132900246_30710527_7835201_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648387113902903314" />

Oh yeah and today he will get in the pool for the very first time. Blake and I have both been "blessed" as some of my friends like to call it. But did anyone tell you about the poop? Let me just tell you a story...

I was going to change Cale's diaper because I smelled something. So I open the diaper and sure enough he had pooped, not a lot but poop is poop right. So I start cleaning him up and then all of the sudden he decided to start pooping again, well I am kinda stuck here because I was done cleaning him and was in the middle of putting a new diaper on him, so I grab a wipe and literally hold it under his butt and he is pooping in the wipe that I am holding. My child has now basically pooped in my hands, and yes my mom and Blake are in the room laughing hysterically. All I can do is hold this baby wipe and let him finish. Pretty funny huh?? Well there is more! So I clean his little butt and have the new diaper in my hand to put on him and what does he do??? He starts pooping AGAIN!! Come on kid how much poop do you have in you?? Where did all this come from and why do you wait until I have completely cleaned you up to start pooping again? So once again I am holding a baby wipe under his little butt as he poops AGAIN! And this was in my first week of parenthood! Oh man I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for me!

Oh No, I'm a MOM

Well people I am now a mom and Cale has only been here for a week but man do I already have some stories to tell! Our little boy finally decided to make his arrival, and boy was I happy about that! Starting a week or so before my due date Blake and I started walking every day. Mainly because we wanted this little boy to come on time, and I had also heard that if you walk then it can make for an easier birth. So May 1st came and went and we had NO BABY! I had an amazing pregnancy and was never really uncomfortable until the last two days. Somebody told me that the saying is "Easy pregnancy, hard labor" OH NO..... Well my cute and adorable son decided that he would play a joke on me and take FOREVER to get here!! Soo here is the story...
So on Thursday afternoon (May 5th) my friend Leyla asked if I wanted to go to lunch so we went and ate at the bowling alley. Little did I know that this would be my last meal until Saturday afternoon! So after we ate we went to the commissary, and while we were at the commissary, I started having contractions. Leyla was pretty excited and I was like oh my gosh, my brother was right! I am going to have this baby on Cinco de Mayo. Well the contractions continued all afternoon, and around 5 that night we called labor and delivery and told them that my contractions were 3 to 5 minutes apart since about 3:30. They told me to go ahead and come in. This was it!! We were finally going to have this baby!! Cale was coming! So we get to the hospital and they start tracking me and yep I am in labor and my contractions are 4 minutes apart BUT I am only 1 1/2 cm dilated. CRAP.... so we were sent home and they told us to come back a little later if I am still having contractions, well around midnight we go back because my contractions are still happening and they are still 3 to 5 minutes apart. So when we get to the hospital, there is no change! :( so they gave me an ambien to sleep and we went back home again! So Friday we had already had an appointment for a stress test, so when we got to the stress test the doctor checked and I was 3 cm dilated and during the stress test I had contractions the whole time so they sent me up to labor and delivery. However at the hospital we go to, they won’t admit you until you are 4 cm dilated so we were told to walk, and that is what we did for an hour... WALKED!! We got back and YAY we are 4 cm dilated, got admitted and I was there or the next 18 1/2 hours in labor with this sweet little boy. He wanted to take his sweet time because he liked the pool! :)

FINALLY had Cale Mason Allen on May 7, 2011 at 7:54am (Germany time)
He weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long

He is amazing; I can’t believe that he is here! But I love him and when they say that the love for your child is like no other, people are not lying! I am beyond blessed to have an amazing husband and an adorable son!!

The picture uploader isnt working, so I will upload pictures later! :) Promise... I have tons!

May 1st

Well it is officailly May 1st. Our due date, and no baby yet. Everyone knows that being a first time pregnant woman, that most likely you will go over your due date, and that is perfectly fine. However what the doctors and friends dont tell you is this... For the past 9 months you have looked forward to that ultimate due date! You create a countdown, get nervous as the day gets closer and are ready for that baby by that date. But then your due date is here and you are sitting in your house feeling the same way you have for the past couple of weeks and you have no baby! I am super excited about Cale being here, I just dont know when he will actually decide to make his arrival. I am hoping soon!! Blake and I have started our walking! :)

Oh Germany

So I don't think that I have actually blogged about Germany. Mainly for the fact that I don't want people to think that I am ungrateful... however Germany SUCKS sometimes!! I love when we can actually travel and see places that we have never been. I am looking forward to my mom coming in May and possibly going to the Netherlands and my in-laws coming in June and traveling around Italy. But I hate how everything is in German. Like our cell phone bill! So we are under one plan yet they take two separate payments out for mine and Blake's. So last month when I paid the cell phone bill under Blake's name, his phone got paid for and mine did not. So i will now have to wait until the next bill to get it paid and mine to be turned back on. I also miss the food in the states so much! I hate when I don't feel like cooking, our only choices for food is Burger King, McDonald's and the bowling alley. So that is my venting for the day, sorry for the complaining!! BUT......

I am super excited about Cale being born soon, and about family finally visiting, and about going to the states in August for my best friend's wedding!

My Heart Hurts

My heart has certainly been hurting since this weekend when I found out that my Nana (my mom's mom) had a stroke last Thursday night. The bad news was I didn't get the email until I was in the car on my way to Prague. So I was now stuck with no way to call home and check in. I only had email but that just wasn't good enough. When I got home on Sunday the first thing I did was call my family. Come to find out my Nana had a massive stroke Thursday night and they rushed her to the hospital. Her right side is paralyzed and she cannot talk. So I have been checking up on her everyday. I had a hard Sunday night, I was in a lot of pain because I cannot fly home. Sunday was my last day to fly because I am too far along in my pregnancy for it. I just wanted to go home and be with her and see her! The doctor practically told my family Friday night that my Nana was going to die and that she would probably never leave the hospital. I was thinking that Cale will never meet his great grandmother! I will never see my Nana again and I didn't know what to do. Thankfully Blake was here and just let me sit in his lap and boo hoo! He was great that night. BUT... last night when I called to check on her we have some GOOD NEWS!! This makes my heart happy and gives me hope!! Yesterday my Nana was accepted into a rehab program, they just had to get her stabilized and then they would move her into the rehab. So yesterday when some of the rehab people came in and wanted to see her, they stood her up for a couple of minutes, which is great! Then the speech rehab people came in they got a few sounds out of her, not any words but some grunts. And we will take what we can get! :) and p.s. my grandmother is from the north and my Aunt told my Nana that after rehab she might lose her northern accent and have a southern one, and my Nana shook her head no and smiled! Bless her heart she still has a sense of humor! :) anyways... since her stroke was on the left side of her brain, she is paralyzed on her right side of her body. Yesterday one of the rehab people pinched one of her right fingers she pulled back. So she has some sensation on her right side, which is great! Then when she was asked if they pinched her finger she shook her head yes. So that is the new good news, and I am praying that she will make a full recovery. I know it's selfish of me but I need my Nana to be ok. I need to see her again and I need her to meet her great grandson. Please pray for her daily that she will make a full recovery!

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. I am now also 30 weeks pregnant and cant believe that we only have 10 weeks left! Or if he decides early than less! I cannot wait until our little man gets here! Oh how are life is about to change!

We have already had one baby shower and it was a blast! We got basically everything we needed just missing a few things, but I am having another baby shower this weekend here in Alabama. Blake and I are so blessed to have people that want to give us a shower and that want to buy things for this new sweet baby boy! I just cant tell you how grateful we truly are! This week is so exciting! Not because I have a research paper due but because I get to see Cale Wednesday! I am getting a 4D ultrasound and I cannot be more excited! I am so ready to see his little face and see some facial features of this little boy! Then Saturday is the baby shower, which will be so fun, and then Sunday I am getting some maternity pictures done! So a very busy but exciting week. I will let you know how everything goes... but until then..... I cannot believe it. I remember when I was so excited that it was 2010 and Blake would be coming home from Afghanistan. Well 2010 has flown by! Blake finally came home on July 5, 2010. And we began the start of getting to Germany! Crazy how life can change so quickly! While we were getting ready to leave for Germany we found out some exciting news! August 23rd we found out that we were pregnant!!! We were so excited and honestly cannot express just how happy we were. Getting to Germany was an adventure and actually be here was a whole other story!! But in 2010 we went to Paris for the first time also, which was so much fun other than me throwing up, hey i was still in my first trimeseter! :)
BUT...
2011 is where all the fun will happen!!! I am going back to the states in Feb! woohoo! American food!! :)April, my nephew will be born. I already love little miss Chloe so much, i cant imagine another baby. But I know I will love him just as much! MAY, OUR SON WILL BE BORN! It is so weird for me to say my son or our son! My Best friend will be getting married in August and it will be the first time she will see Cale.

Bring it on 2011, I cant wait to see this year through!!

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

That's what little BOYS are made of!

We went to the doctor this week for our checkup and to make sure the baby had all the organs and everything was fine. The ultrasound tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby and of course we said yes! We were so excited to finally see our baby again. We hadn't seen it since our 8 week check up and that seemed like forever!! So as we are in the room, the lady looks at the head and the brain the heart and then finally she said, "Are you ready?" ummm.... YES PLEASE! ok first I have to tell you that everybody has been asking me what I think I am having, and I guess this is a question that most pregnant women are asked. So Blake asked me this as we were on our way to the hospital and this is how I put it to him... I told him that if they tell us it is a boy then I honestly wont be surprised, but if they said that we are having a girl, I will be shocked. Because I haven't felt like this was a girl once. All along I have been calling it a him and saying that we are having a boy. Been looking at boy bedding, already had a boy name. I know it will be a boy! And sure enough... call it mother's intuition but I was right! We are having a BOY... Cale Mason Allen is his name and I cannot wait to meet him in May. soooo back to the ultrasound... she finally went below the belt and said well it is definitely male! haha Blake was pretty excited about that! :) So everything is looking good for Cale! He did not want to show us his face a lot but we got some pictures, and that little boy did not want to roll over so we could see his spine. So since he didn't roll over we are going back on Dec. 27th to try again! Which Blake and I are pretty excited because we get to see our little man again! It's hard to believe that we are half way done with the pregnancy, and that we already know the sex of the baby. Today we ordered his nursery furniture through AAFES, which is the px, we had to order it early because it could take up to 12 weeks to get here! Well that is about it for now, cant wait until February to come home and see all the family, and eat all the good food! (can you tell I'm pregnant and craving stuff I cant get here in Germany?) :)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 221px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TQzgKlPRW5I/AAAAAAAAATE/cIS8qE3U6Fg/s320/img005%2B%25282%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552058913040456594" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 218px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TQzgKfsilgI/AAAAAAAAAS8/EiXEHwKBofk/s320/img010%2B%25282%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552058911552607746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 219px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TQzgKefIzQI/AAAAAAAAAS0/DJt_-1fvtHc/s320/img004%2B%25282%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552058911227956482" />

Germany

Well I know I havent updated the blog in a few months, but moving to Germany has been a huge change! Before we left the states we found out that we are pregnant! I know CRAZY right!! Little one is due May 1st and next week we will find out the sex of the baby! I do promise to update the blog next week with the sex of the baby once all of our family has found out! So now I am 19 1/2 weeks. This past weekend I felt the baby move for the first time. Which is super exciting!! :) now onto Germany...

We got here in October and the weather was real nice, however we lived in the hotel on post for 3 weeks. We finally got our apartment and we had loaner furniture for another 3 weeks. We finally got our household goods 2 1/2 weeks ago and that has been great! We were so excited to finally sleep in our own bed! The first weekend in November we took a day trip to Paris. It is about a 4 hour car drive from our post. We had so much that day and cant wait to go back. Last week we got our car and we are extremely happy people now! We no longer have to wait for taxi's or walk in the cold. It has been snowing here for about 2 weeks and i feel like it hasnt stopped. Now I'm just waiting for Blake to get his German license because I hate driving in the snow and I would much rather Blake be driving!! Ok so I know this is completely random but it is an update of our lives. I will blog next week about the little one!!!

It's time for an update

I know I havent done the best job at keeping the blog updated. But since Blake has come home from Afghanistan we have been going 90 to nothing. Or at least thats what it feels like. So here is an update since the last blog on July 5th.

July 10th, Blake finally came home!! It was an amazing day that I will never forget! I remember sitting there in that gym just waiting! Watching the jumbo tron with the plane flying in, seeing Blake walk off the plane and then knowing that he was in the same room just behind a curtain. I said that I wasnt going to run to him because I wanted Jan to be able to get good pictures! But as soon as the speaker said "Dismissed" and I spotted Blake, I took off! It felt amazing to finally touch him and kiss him! It was honestly one of the greatest days ever!! Now that he was home it was like my world was back to normal! I wasnt waiting for a email, a call, an IM or a skype call! And that felt great, I didnt have to have my phone attached to my hip anymore! :)
We had a month off for vacation since he just came home from Afghan, so we went to Missouri and Alabama each for about a week and a half. It was great to be with Blake and see all of our family and friends and be able to spend some time with everyone. But even though we were off for a month, it seemed like it flew by and we were heading back to Washington. When we got back to WA we knew we had a lot to get done. It was August and we were leaving for Germany in October! Crazy? Yes I know! So since we have been back from leave, all we have been doing is getting stuff done for Germany. Finally everything is settled and we are now ready to make our travels.
We have 14 days until we leave Washington and head to Germany. The moving people will be here on Sept 29 to pick up our household goods and get everything on a truck. Then on Oct 1 we have another company coming to pick up our unacccompanied baggage, which is the stuff that they will fly over to Germany so we can get it hopefully less than a month. We then will fly out to Germany on Oct 7th. We land on Oct 8 over there and Blake cant offically report until the Oct 12th. So we will be staying in a hotel somewhere in Germany. Hopefully on post! But that is our life right now, crazy, hectic and rushing around. Once we get to Germany I will try to update the blog more often! I promise! Here are a few pictures that are from the last couple of months!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TJutkAaf8uI/AAAAAAAAASM/6emvS95npsk/s320/DSCF6364.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520196602370716386" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TJutjolbuTI/AAAAAAAAASE/AG8uJ7m3Ui0/s320/46789_1482760482375_1634749791_1117122_6128925_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520196595974125874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TJutjcKNtLI/AAAAAAAAAR8/JGJoWeIwyAk/s320/DSCF6189.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520196592638735538" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TJutjAGxHDI/AAAAAAAAAR0/I3T_2BHTy8U/s320/DSCF6115.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520196585108085810" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/TJutiTMp-GI/AAAAAAAAARs/qo-Dhb8Emnk/s320/DSC_0120.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520196573053188194" />

He is coming home

TODAY.. Blake is finally coming home today after 360 days of being gone. We got a phone call yesterday telling me that My Soldier will be home tomorrow (today) at 1:40pm. I have waited for this day to be here! Now that it is here I dont know what to do! I want time to fly but yet I want to cherish this moment that Blake and I are about to experience! This was hard year for us, but we made it through it and we have become stronger because of it. Blake lost some good friends over there that will never be forgotten and we pray for their families. Blake is a strong man and I am proud to call him my husband! Thank you to Blake and the rest of 5/2. You are greatly apppreciated for your sacrifice this year!! We have missed you and are so glad you are going to be home today! I will update soon with pictures of Blake's homecoming!

When are you coming home?

That is the question I ask Blake every time he calls, and he tells me every time "I don't know yet". I know I haven't updated the blog in 2 months but I have been busy. I left Alabama the last week of May and got to Washington. My mom drove with me and my brother flew up here and helped me get the apartment ready. When they left the whole apartment was together, except for some pictures that I need to hang in the two bedrooms. Well it has been 3 weeks and I have yet to hang the pictures. I'm sure that looks like laziness, but I don't know where I want them. I like to decorate and things like that, but I always need Blake's opinion and he usually does the actual hanging part! :) But anyways, I am back in Washington and ready for Blake to come home. We are hoping that he will be home before July 10th. But with the Army , you never know. As soon as I find anything out and I am allowed to share I will. Until then I will just keep asking!

Orlando Fun

This past weekend I went to Orlando with my best friend, Leigh. She had to go to a Lads to Leaders competition and hand out some awards. She asked me if I would go with her and I decided to tag along and boy am I glad that I did! We left Thursday night after I got off work and headed to Atlanta. I know your wondering why we went through Atlanta to get to Orlando... but we had to get our hair done first! Nathan, Leigh's boyfriend, is from Georgia and his cousin cuts and colors mine and Leigh's hair! She is pretty much amazing! So Friday morning we got our hair done and then headed to FL. We finally got to Orlando Friday night around 11 and that's where our weekend officially began! Leigh's work is paying for our hotel, so she has a company credit card. Well something was wrong with it and it was declined. OMG! after it was finally worked out we went up to our room and went to bed. Really excited about the next day we got up and got ready. Set up the Faulkner table in the lobby and then took off for our "errands" which means Disney World! We had so much fun at Disney World!! We got free tickets and we spent all day there! We left about 5:30 so we could go back to the hotel and Leigh could get ready to hand out her scholarships. After she did that we went back to Disney World for the fireworks and the parade. I am so glad that we went back. I hadn't seen the fireworks at Disney World since 8th grade... and that was a long time ago! I had the best time watching the parade and watching kids get so excited! We were finally ready to leave the land of magic when we hopped on the monorail and got on the cart that takes you to your parking lot. When we got to goofy we couldn't find our car! Someone had literally stole our car while we were in Disney World. Who does that? and it also sucked because it was Leigh's work car! OMG what were we going to do. We flagged sown security and told her about our dilemma. Poor lady this was her first week and she said she hadn't even finished her first night. She was on her way out. :( so she called in another guy and he asked us when we had came into the park and when we told him 9pm he told us that they were picking up from grumpy. OH SNAP! we thought it was goofy but it was actually grumpy. Needless to say when we went to grumpy we found our car. Nobody had stolen in we were just dumb!:) On Saturday we sat at the Faulkner table a good bit, and went to downtown Disney for lunch. We had to leave on Sunday which was sad! :( but we got up and left early that morning so I could try and be home to see my family before they all left. Leigh drove the whole time and I felt really bad, because I was either going to stay up with her as she drove or drove some so she could sleep. But I wasn't feeling good and so I went to sleep. She is such a good friend because I'm sure she was just as tired as I was. So now being Monday I am still so tired from this weekend. But I had a lot of fun and have some many memories from this trip! I just love Leigh Walker! She has been my ultimate best friend, and I couldn't have done this deployment without her!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/S7qeMMm9TJI/AAAAAAAAAQM/B1TLgbuv45E/s320/DSCF0759.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456847830893022354" />

Up in the Air

Well at this moment I am up in the air flying to Washington. I love how technology has come so far. Who would have ever thought that we would be able to connect to the Internet on an airplane? Its crazy but I love it! Anyways I talked to Blake this morning and he is doing good, he said that it is starting to get hot over there again, he said it was 100 the other day and I about had a stroke! :) I get into Washington tonight at 6:15 which is 8:15 Alabama and Missouri time. Tomorrow my friend Tami and I are going to the Honda store to pick up a dirt bike for Blake. He is such a kid but what can I say I love him! He is really excited about getting this bike. He found it online and asked me to look at it and I finally broke down and said okay. Which is crazy for me, but I feel bad because he hasn't had a life for the past year. lol! And I'm looking for apartments! YAY! I cant believe that it is already March and the middle of march at that. Soon it will be April and I will be taking trips to Orlando with Leigh, which I am super excited about. If only I can figure out some way for Faulkner to pay for us to go to Disney! That would be the life! and then the next weekend after that I am headed to New York for family member's wedding. I think it is my mom's cousin. I'm not real sure but I was like,'heck yes I'll go! Its freakin New York!" I got some really cute shoes for the wedding and I'm pretty excited about wearing them! Ok so I know I totally got off subject from having the Internet on a plane! So I'm gonna go!!

We are ready

Blake has been gone for 8 months now, we only have 4 months left to go and we are beyond ready for him to be home! I think he is getting really tired of being over there. Knowing that he only have a couple of months left makes it harder I believe. It like being in school and you have summer fever. I think that is what he is going through! But soon enough he will be home and I am so excited. So the lastest update is I'm going to Washington next week to find an apartment. I have moving back in May and I am kinda excited. I know it will suck to leave my family and my friends but I'm ready to be back in my own home, my own bed, and have a somewhat normal life. I'm ready for Blake to be home so we can finally be a family again! We are ready for Germany too. So many people think that it will be so hard, but I really do believe that it will be a lot of fun! Blake and I are truly excited and thankful for this oppurtunity! More to come about Germany when I figure out some stuff from Fort Lewis!

2010

I know it's already March and I haven't updated the blog since December. So I thought it would be a good thing to tell you what has happened in 2010 already! Well first of all its 2010 and that means that Blake is coming home this year! Which is so exciting by the way! For New Years I went to Missouri and had fun staying with Jan and LaMar. Got to see that side of the family! It was a little bittersweet though. I love Jan and LaMar and I have a great time with them but since Blake was in Afghanistan it was different. If Blake would have been in Washington it would have been easier. It sounds weird but him being in another country it was just harder! January 16th came and it was a great day! Blake came home from Afghanistan for R&R. I remember seeing his plane and being so nervous! And then I finally saw him and hugged and kissed him! It was one of the greatest feelings to finally be back in his arms! For a second time stood still. We went to Missouri the first week and had a blast. We got to see all of his family and we got to be at church for 2 Sundays. I know everybody was so excited to see him, I didn't want to leave his side. I felt as if I wasn't right beside him that I would miss something. I felt like a little schoolgirl, I remember just looking at him and smiling! I just love him so much! We then went to Alabama for the second week. He was excited to see the WBC and hang out with them! Hope and Matt had just had their baby boy and they got to introduce a new member into their club! Oh those boys... Time flew by and 14 days were here and gone. He left on February 1st. My friend told me that it was easier to say goodbye to second time because we had already done it once, and this is the second half of the deployment. So when that Monday morning came... it was not any easier. I felt sick to my stomach, the same feeling I had July 10, 2009. And i cried just as hard! it wasn't any easier and I don't know how she did it. But I saw him get on that plane and waved goodbye, praying that the Lord would keep my husband safe for the next 6 months!

It is now March and I have been busy busy busy for the last 3 weeks. Faulkner puts on Jamboree every year. This is where the brother and sister social clubs put on a 10minute musical. Zeta (which was Blake's club) and Tri-Alpha (which was my club) asked me and my friend Michelle to help this year since last year's show was absolutely HORRIBLE!! So we did and we were beyond busy. We had to make up lyrics, chants, dances, props, costumes. Anything we could do to help we did. That ended last night and I am glad that it is over.

I hope these next couple of months fly by! In 2 weeks I will be going to Washington to find an apartment and put a deposit down. Because I will be moving back to WA the last week of May. There is some talk that Blake could be coming home in June so that's the reason behind me moving back so early. I plan on moving into the apartment so that way when Blake comes home he doesn't have to deal with all that. Unless there is something too heavy for my mom and I to move in... then Blake will have to do it! :) Well I will try to keep up blogging better. Leigh is starting to blog a lot more and I get on here to read hers, and then I feel real bad for mine
being so lame! So I got a new background and now here is my new post!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/S5SXmJORYtI/AAAAAAAAAP8/VFJrmMR7rDo/s320/DSCF0656.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446144530964374226" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/S5SX_zx-juI/AAAAAAAAAQE/N26l145ArpI/s320/DSCF0626.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446144971885154018" />

It's time for an update

Ok so I was reading Leigh and Laurie's blog and realized that I too really needed to update my blog!

Well I have been pretty busy these last couple of weeks. I got a new job and I am loving it by the way! Just real busy! And this week is my finals week! I get a little time off which I am so excited! I cant believe that it is really December and Christmas is only 15 days away. Today was 5 months since Blake has been gone and we only have 7 months to go! Next month Blake will be coming home and that is so exciting! Blake is excited about coming home and seeing everyone. We will probably be going to Missouri the first week and then be in Alabama the second week! He is moving right now, so we cant send any packages to him. :( Please keep him in your prayer because where they are moving it is supposed to be pretty bad! Here is a picture of Blake with his stocking, and some of the soldiers that got the stockings that I sent over there! Happy Holidays! Will update soon!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlahLMyriQc/SyHehTPw6FI/AAAAAAAAAPc/93gg_BaF7sk/s320/100_0334.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413852890759489618" />

She works hard for the money...

I have a job! I know for those of you who never thought I would actually have one.... I do! I have been working at My Kids Attic for a little over a month now! It is a cute store with kinds clothes, purses, jewelry, car decals, and a lot of other cute stuff. But I work every day Mon-Sat with Tuesday off! I haven't had a real job where I have to stand on my feet or actually do stuff in 2 years! And I completely forgot how hard it is. Since it is retail, I have to work on Saturdays and I miss a lot of stuff. Like the Alabama football games, and this coming weekend my mom and brother are going to Massachusetts and I really wanted to go but since I have work I cant go! :( I told Blake that I understand how he feels now. Even though he works much harder than I do! So if you cant find me... I'm probably at work!!

It's September

WOW! I cannot believe that September is already here. On the 10th, Blake will be gone for two months! Which is crazy! He is doing good over there! He says that he stays pretty busy! He loves getting all the packages from everyone. Nobody from his unit has died. People have gotten hurt though! So please pray for them, and their families. But there was another unit that deployed from Fort Lewis. They are 1-17. And they have had 9 soldiers die from that unit. So please keep their families in your prayers! Blake is hopefully going to get leave at the end of January or beginning of February. Blake left for Afghanistan and my mom and I drove across country with my car. And this next year will surely be a hard long one!

Last Thursday we got up and had to pack our entire apartment up and be moved out by 2. Jan, LaMar, Blake, and I got it all done by 12:30. We were ahead of schedule and having fun spending time with Blake. My mom came in that night and we all went to eat and just hung out. We had to be at the company at 6:00 am on Friday morning. So 4:30 came real early! We left the hotel at 5:30 and this is when I realized today would be the last day for a long while that I would wake up with my husband by my side! When we go to post we unloaded Blake's bags and headed to the company. When we got back there it was just a swarm of camouflage! They had their 1st formation and were told to go get their weapons. While everyone, which is about 250 soldiers, got their weapons out we were able to spend our last couple of hours with Blake. It was fun to be taking pictures with him, and all of our friends, and I was happy that Jan and LaMar were able to see Blake in his environment with all of his Army buddies! At about 10:00 we were told that they were going to be marching to their buses so we had to say goodbye! It was hard! As they started to walk away... we were told that we can to the buses and be with them! So we had just cried our eyes out and we get to go see him again, and say goodbye once more. As we get to where they are going we are able to spend another hour with him. We tried to talk about everyday things, but its just so hard to smile on such a sad day! We all knew that Blake would be okay and that he would be coming home to us. But just knowing that we wont be able to talk or see him for the next year is heartbreaking. As they get ready for their final formation we all say our goodbyes once more. This time it is a little harder because we see him getting on the bus and we cannot hug him anymore. But of course Blake has a last name that starts with an "A" so he is the 3rd person called. As we walk to the bus to see him get on we realize that we will have to wait for every soldier to be called to get on the bus. Remember Blake was 3rd and there are about 250 soldiers leaving. So once again we get to talk to him for about 30 to 45 minutes more. And say goodbye for the 3rd time. This is when it started to get truly painful! He was in the bus holding my hand and I couldn't do anything! I couldn't hug him one more time, I couldn't kiss him one more time, I wouldn't be in his arms for another year! Blake just kept reminding me that he was going to come home and that I had nothing to worry about. Yeah right Blake! I have nothing to worry about!! You are going to war overseas and I cant see or talk to you! How am I not supposed to worry? I was trying to be strong for him but it was just so hard! This was my 3rd time saying goodbye to him! As the bus started up for them to take off I was holding Blake's hand not wanting to let go. But as I saw the first bus start to leave I had to let go and just pray that the love of my life would be okay and come home to me!

Blake and I never knew that this deployment and that goodbye would be so hard! I guess I was in denial a little. As I sit here I cant help but wonder what he is doing and what he is going through! I have got to talk to him about 3 times since he left, which was a week ago. Right now he is in Afghanistan. I cannot say exactly where he is, but he wont be in actual combat until sometime August I believe. I promise to update the blog and let you know how he is doing. And when we can start sending packages I will let you know, and give you the address. Blake is amazing and I know that he is loved by so many. And I thank everyone that is praying for him!

I will post pictures later, my camera isn't connecting with my computer so I am trying to get it fixed! As soon as I can get pictures up I will!

17 days left

Well this is a sad blog to post! Since we got home from leave we have been packing our apartment, putting it in storage and getting ready for the deployment. We pretty much have everything out of the apartment except for the furniture. So this weekend we will have a truck and will be moving everything else out of the apartment.

Last night we went to our final pre deployment briefing and we have his address which I will be emailing to everyone, I do not want to put it on the blog. But at the meeting last night we were told to watch what we say about our soldier and where is he. The only thing you are allowed to say is Blake is in the Army and he is deployed to Afghanistan. They don't want their location to be revealed to anyone. So I just thought I would share that with everyone.

Blake will be leaving from Fort Lewis on July 11th. So from today we only have 17 days. I cant believe that we are counting down days now. For so long we would say next year or 6 months now we only have 2 weeks. Its sad but I know that he will be safe and he is excited to go. Also we were told last night that we will only get to talk to him once a month. And that doesn't always mean on the phone. It might only mean that we get an email from him once a month. Their goal is to get the soldiers to be able to talk to family weekly but they aren't sure that will happen. So if you don't hear from Blake don't be alarmed and please try not to get upset. If something bad happens over there I will be the only one that is informed and I promise that I will let everyone know as soon as possible. I will also keep you updated on what I hear from our Captain's wife. So his deployment is coming up fast so try to get your phone calls into Blake because his phone will be shut off the last week he is here. And again please pray for us because this is starting to become real and its getting harder by the day.

We love all of you!!

My Blake...

I cant believe that it is already May. Monday we go to our pre deployment briefing! It makes me so sad to think about Blake deploying. I know that he is fighting for my freedom and I know that he loves being a sniper! I think he believes he has the best job in the Army. It crazy to think that in August Blake and I will be married for 2 years, but he wont be here to share that with me. I cant imagine not being with him for my birthday, or Thanksgiving, or Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, his birthday and all the rest of the holidays! I cant imagine how things will be without him for a year! I cant wrap my head around us not being together for that long! People change so much in a year and to think that we will be a year older when he returns home is hard. I appreciate Blake so much! He is the most kind hearted person that I know. And he is so excited about going to Afghanistan. I want him to go because I know how pumped he is but on the other hand I have that wife mentality that it just isn't fair. Why does he have to go? I knew what I was signing up for when Blake asked me to marry him and I have to take on the roll of the military wife, not a civilian wife! Times are hard when your married to a military man but even though I will have to be away from him for a year I wouldn't have it any other way. All I can do is look to the Lord and my friends and family for the support that I will need for that year. I love and appreciate my Blake so much! I love you baby!

The Update for the Summer

Blake left for Yakima today for 10 days. He will get back May 16th. Then on May 18th we have a Pre-Deployment Briefing where we will hear whats going on for their deployment. So hopefully we will have information for everyone when we come home to Alabama and Missouri. So the big question is when are we coming home?? Well today we found out that our dates will be changing. So we will be in Missouri the last week of May and the first week of June. This can change!!! Don't forget we are with the Army. We hope to see everyone while we are there. I think the only Saturday and Sunday that we will be in Missouri is May 30th and 31st. So we cannot wait to see everyone! After that week in Missouri we will go to Alabama. We plan on having a pool party at my parents house and we hope to see everyone while we are there.

Ok so i know everyone is wondering about Blake's deployment. So far we have heard that he is deploying July 14th. But this could change to July 6th. Last month the date was July 6th. So we are just saying sometime in the first two weeks of July. Blake is excited and cant wait to get over there. I will be going home and hopefully finish school! On May 18th they said that we might get the address to where Blake will be in Afghanistan. So if we do find I out I will let you know when we come home. So i think that is about all i have for right now! Cant wait to see everyone!! We love you!

Our Getaway Weekend

Well tomorrow is Blake's 25th Birthday! So I knew Blake was going to have the 10th-13th off from work and I planned a trip. I told him that we were going somewhere for the whole weekend. All he knew was it was in Washington. So Friday when I got off work we headed out for Mt. Rainier. It is only about an hour away from our house so it wasn't a bad drive at all. When we got there he thought we were going to be staying at a hotel, but to his surprise I had rented a cabin for us. It was absolutely perfect! We didn't get any service on our cell phones, so we couldn't talk to anyone. The peace and quiet was truly needed for the both of us. We went to dinner Friday night and hung out in the room for the rest of the night. The town that we were staying in, was so little! Like there were only 5 family owned restaurants, a general store, and a gas station. So that is how little! Saturday we went and got breakfast and I had already had a reservation for us to go horseback riding! It was so much fun! We rode for about an hour and a half. We stopped at 2 spots that were so gorgeous! And after that we went to Mt. Rainier National Park. Sunday we also went into the National Park. There was so much snow! The snow was taller than our car. They had it all pushed to the side of the roads! It was a lot of fun! We got home this morning around 10:30. We had a lot of fun and cant wait to go back! Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

Update on Blake...

Sorry guys... Blake and his team leader Whitaker had to drive this truck out to their mission and the truck had no windows and no roof. And of course on their way out, it started raining, which turned into hail. So funny story... but they were not happy! The 5th picture is of Blake shooting a guy jumping out of a window, since they were only training he didn't actually kill someone but he will be killing in Afghanistan.

Here we are again

Daisy and I are back from Alabama. We got home early Monday morning around 2:30 am. So I was pretty tired, but couldn't sleep all day like I wanted to, because I had to go to work at 12:45. But its ok! Alabama was a lot of fun! I got to see all of my friends, and family. The first week I was there, I had to take Daisy to get surgery. She had a bladder stone, and since it was cheaper in Alabama we did the surgery there. The surgery went perfect and you can tell that she feels a lot better! Daisy loved playing with Eli, my dad's dog. She also loved going outside without being on a leash. It always took forever for us to get her back in the house. But she is doing good! Still spoiled as can be! The last day I was in Alabama it snowed! It never snows in Alabama, so I don't know what happened! But my flight was cancelled and I was put on another one and I was so thankful that I actually got out, because Delta had cancelled more than 300 flights for Sunday and Monday! I'm doing good, just kinda tired. It's Thursday and I have yet to unpack. I hate that part of traveling! But after this blog I am going to unpack and clean the house because... BLAKE IS COMING HOME! I am so excited that February is over and Blake is coming home! Its crazy that it has already been a month! He was supposed to come home on Friday but yesterday he called and said that he isn't coming home until Saturday! Which is sad but at least he has Monday off! So now we only have about 3 months left together until he deploys. So please pray for us that we will be able to spend as much time together as possible, and that we will find out his leave dates and his deployment dates soon! Its crazy to think that June is right around the corner! But Blake is so excited to be going over there! He is ready to go, so I'm ready for him to go, get it over with and come home! As soon as we know anything I promise to tell whatever I can. We probably wont be able to tell you where he is actually going because most of the time it is classified, but we will be able to tell you that is he is going to Afghanistan and when he actually leaves. So again pray for us, and pray for the rest of the families in Blake's company! Well alright this house is a mess and I need to start cleaning! I will write soon and let you know how Blake's training went! I might have him write a blog about NTC... you never know!!

Will ya'll be her godparents?

Well Blake has been gone for almost a week now at NTC. I have been staying with one of my friends here, Tami. Her husband, Matt, is in Blake's company. So we hang out with them all the time. In these last couple of months we have become really close to Matt and Tami. And in December they had the cutest little girl, Keelie. So last night I was sitting on the couch and Tami and Keelie were on the other one and Tami looks at me and says, "So Matt and I have been talking about this and we want you and Blake to be Keelie's godparents!" I was like really? Yes! I almost started crying! She told me that she wanted to wait until we were both here but Matt couldn't wait any longer and he went ahead and asked Blake. So she wanted to ask me before Blake called. I was super excited, so Blake calls like right afterwards, and I was like oh my goodness we are godparents! He is super excited too! Keelie just loves Blake! Anytime Blake holds her she falls asleep in his arms! He is so good with kids! So when I have a good picture of Keelie I will post it.

NTC

Blake left yesterday for Fort Irwin, CA. He had to be at work at 4 so I took him. That way his car wouldn't have to sit on post for a month. Blake will be there for a month, the first week they will process in and unload the trucks, the second and third week they will actually be training, and the fourth week they will process out and load the trucks back up for leaving. So what will they be doing here? Well at Fort Irwin they have a town set up like if you were actually in Afghanistan they even have Afghan people there to make it more real. They train the soldiers for everything. Blake should be home between March 4th- 8th.

Since Blake will be gone for a month, I will be here in Washington for a week, then I will be going home to Alabama for 2 weeks, then I will come back to Washington for a week.

Surgery?!?

Well Blake and I took Daisy to the vet this past weekend for her regular checkup and everything seemed fine except for the vet felt something in Daisy's bladder. So we had to bring her back two days later with a full bladder, and sure enough she has a urinary tract infection, so we got antibiotics. But that's not all he said he still felt the bump in her bladder and he suggested an x-ray. so we said ok to it, and he called back and told us that Daisy has a bladder stone about the size of a walnut. Poor thing right! I know! So he said that usually you can put your dog on a diet to get rid of these stones, but since hers had gotten so big she will need surgery. So of course I had to ask "How much does this surgery cost?" And he reply with.... $900 to $1000. I was like WHAT?!? I looked at Blake and said we can't afford that! So I decided to do some searching for other vets to get estimates, so I called two others, on said it would be $1100, well that just went up a $100 which isn't any better. And the other one said we would have to come in for a consultant. Yeah right and pay for another vet visit? I don't think so! Well I am going home on Feb 14th for two weeks. And I decided to check with some of the vets in Montgomery, because everything is cheaper in Alabama! Which by the way is soooo true. So I called the Blue Ridge Animal Clinic and I asked about the bladder stone removal and how much it costs and the vet there told me that it will be between $250-$300!!! I was so excited and I told her so. I told her, "You have no idea how happy that makes me, I live in Washington State because my husband is in the Army and our vet up here wanted us to pay $1000 for the surgery", she responded with "Well maybe I should move." I was so glad to know that we will be able to get the surgery for Daisy. I fly in on the 14th and Daisy surgery is scheduled for the 16th, and it will take her a couple of days to recuperate, but at least she will be better! Our poor Daisy! :(

The Life of a Dog.... a Spoiled Dog

I always tell my mom that Daisy is so spoiled. She always replies with a spoiled dog for a spoiled girl. I know I am spoiled rotten! I have always known that simply because I was the youngest kid and my Dad's only little girl! What can I say?? But back to Daisy! Anyways... this past weekend Blake and I went to the Posh Paw to get Daisy's food. And at the Posh Paw they have these cookies that are baked just for dogs. Which of course we had to get her one! They have all different kinds, they have little donuts, cakes, apples, cowboy boots. Its crazy but Daisy is so spoiled that every time we go to the Posh Paw she gets at least one. Also she has so many clothes its funny. When LaMar, Jan, and Andrew were here in December I put on a little fashion show with Daisy's clothes. She has a raincoat, rain booties, 2 houndstooth sweaters, 2 dresses, and 3 or 4 t shirts. We also had to take her to the groomers this past weekend. I love when she gets her haircut because she looks so prissy! And of course we get new bows for her hair. I know what your thinking... you put bows in her hair? That poor dog. But she doesn't mind. She actually keeps them in, and it makes her look more girly. While we were at PetSmart waiting for her to be done. Blake and I decided to take a look down the clothes aisle. She certainly doesn't need anymore clothes but they always have cute stuff. When we were looking we saw a lot of funny t shirts for dogs. There was one that said "You cant afford me" (and the afford part was in gold), also "Honey, You cant buy attitude like mine", also "I'm the princess you scoop it up", and last but not least they had a valentine's shirt that said "I'm the pooch to smooch." I love them all but we got Daisy a pink t shirt that said "I love my mom" we thought that it was so funny and cute that we just had to get it!! I cant wait for everyone to meet her and love all over her! She is spoiled but she is our only child for the time being, so we get to spend all of our extra loving and money on her! By the way here is a picture of her cookie that we got her!

oh the weekends

Well this weekend has been great! Blake got off work Thursday around 3:30 and he has Friday through Monday off! We have been super tired lately so we decided that this weekend we would just stay around the house and be lazy! You know everyone needs those weekends sometime! But to our surprise we were wrong! Thursday night some of Blake's friends wanted us to come have a drink with them. So we met up with them and had a lot of fun. Well Friday we had to run some errands, I had to babysit so Blake went with me, we then had to go to my doctors appointment, go to the mall to get Blake safety goggles for NTC and for his deployment, and finally we were going to a friends house that night. They had just moved into their house and were having a little get together. They also just had their first baby girl, Keelie. She is absolutely gorgeous! So last night when we got home we both looked at each other and said I cant wait to lay around the house tomorrow!

But this morning around 9 our friend Elyse text me and asked if we wanted to go to IHop with her and her husband and another couple. So we got up and decided to go. Well Blake had heard that Circuit City is going out of business so he wanted to go by there and take a look at what they had for sale. We didn't find anything that we absolutely had to have so we went to Best Buy. (Which is Blake's all time favorite store) When we got to best buy Blake started looking at the Apple computers and we got pretty interested. So we decided to take a trip to the South Center Mall and go to the Apple store. To end this long story..... we bought an Apple computer today. We were planning on getting a new one before Blake deployed, we just got it a little sooner! It is a super nice computer but it takes a little bit to get used to it.

That has been our weekend so far. Running around, so I hope for the rest of Blake's 4 day we will be able to just sit at the house and do nothing!

Welcome 2009

Well Christmas has come and gone and so has 2008! LaMar,Jan, and Andrew all got here safe for Christmas. LaMar,Jan and I were going to surprise Blake with them coming up two days early but since we had so much snow, SeaTac (the airport here) shut down and they were stuck in Dallas so they got here one day earlier then originally planned, but a day late for our surprise. But either way we were glad they were here! Christmas was great, we missed our family that we weren't able to be with. While they were here we went to Victoria, Canada. It was super cold but fun. We got on a ferry from Seattle that took us over there. That is the only way to get to Victoria, other than plane, because it is an island! The ferry ride was long but fun! The ride was two hours and forty five minutes. And it was gorgeous! We took a few pictures outside on the deck which was so cold and windy! When we got to Victoria we went to the Royal British Museum which was huge! We also went to a pub and the food there was so amazing! We also went to a place called Miniature World, and everything was in glass cases but they were all little. We had a lot of fun with LaMar, Jan , and Andrew and it was sad to see them go! This past week Blake and I haven't been doing much. He only had to work half days. We had a good New Year's eve. Blake and I used a gift card and went to Red Lobster. Then we just came home and rang in the New Year with each other! But I wasn't feeling good the whole day so that is kinda our excuse for staying in! I cant believe that it is already 2009! This year Blake and I will certainly be going through a lot. This is the year that Blake will be deployed! Our first anniversary apart, our first Christmas apart, and many more things that we will miss out on. But I know that Blake is excited to go overseas, he joined the Army to go over there and fight! Not just to "play" Army. I know that one of his best friends died over there and he wants to go over and fight and come back home for his friend, since Dustin wasn't able to come home! Please pray for us as this will be a very difficult year. We know that the Lord has a plan for us, and Blake will come home safe and sound! Because he is my ultimate Hero, and he wouldn't leave me all alone! Well until next time!

Big News

Well these past couple of days have been very fun! Blake and I are now an Aunt and Uncle to our niece. My brother and his wife had their baby yesterday around 4:30. Her name is Chloe and she was 7 pounds and 11 ounces and 20 inches long. The mom and baby are both doing great. They will out of the hospital by Saturday. The baby is too cute and I don't think that my brother is excited about changing diapers just yet! But I'm sure he will get used to since that is all he will be doing for the next 2 years! Here is a picture of Chloe Laiden Pearson! This is right after she was born and my brother, Cody, is holding her! Isn't she just adorable!

Also these past couple of days we have been getting a lot of snow. So much that Blake didn't even have to work the past 2 days because Fort Lewis had snow on the roads and they didn't want people driving. So that is fun! Our dog Daisy loves the snow she likes to run through it or hop i should say! But she also likes to put her nose in the snow! It is real cute! Here is a picture of Blake in front of our apartment as the snow was falling!Next week is Christmas and Jan, LaMar, and Andrew will be coming up here to Seattle so we are super excited to see them. We will miss the rest of our families that we cant be with this year. But we will see you soon! If I don't get back on here until after Christmas then............

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We Love You

Sorry its been so long

So I know that I haven't posted anything since August so I guess I should feel you in on the past couple of months. Since August we moved into a different apartment. Same town though. Halloween was a lot of fun for us, it was my birthday and we went to a costume party too. We went as Barney and Betty Rubble! We had a lot of fun and stayed out way too late! Alabama football is doing great this year! We are #1 right now with an 11-0 record. So Blake, Daisy and I wear our jerseys every Saturday for the games! We cant wait for the Auburn game in two weeks! We pray that we will win because Alabama has lost to Auburn for the past 6 years and we hate them! :) Blake and I are going to Alabama for Thanksgiving and we are so excited! This will be the last time we see my parents for a while. Because we will not be able to go home for Christmas. We are staying here in Washington this year because Blake's leave days got screwed up so we wouldn't have enough days to go to Alabama and to Missouri. So to be fair we are staying here. But LaMar, Jan, and Andrew are coming up here for Christmas and we cannot wait to see them. Oh yeah I have a job now! yay!! I babysit 3 days a week for a 3 year old girl named Natalie. She has such a personality on her! Also Blake has a deployment date now, it is August 9, 2009. He is so excited to be going overseas to fight! We just pray that he will be safe! He is getting a little nervous since Obama was elected President Blake doesn't know if he will be going for sure! So maybe Obama wont screw up this country too bad! Blake really wants to go over there so maybe he will! I cannot believe that time can fly by so quickly. We went to Olive Garden because it was where our first date was. We then came home and cut the top of our wedding cake and ate it! It was still good actually! I wanted to thank everyone who has prayed for us this past year, and helped with the wedding! We just moved into our new apartment this past weekend so I will be blogging about that later!

It's been a while

Well I haven't been on here lately. When Blake and I got back from Missouri we had a lot to do. We now know where we will be moving to, and that is a blessing. I was only home for 2 weeks until I had to come back to Alabama for one of my best friend's wedding, Nicole. She looked beautiful on her wedding day. It sure took me back to the day Blake and I got married. I cant believe that it has almost been a year! Crazy how time can fly by! I am still in Alabama and I will be leaving Saturday. Blake has been out in the field for the past two weeks, which is why I stayed so long here. I am ready to get back and to see him! I miss him bunches but I would rather be here with my family while he is out in the field. I will be going home Saturday and our anniversary is Monday. So I will probably have a new post on Tuesday with pictures and letting you know how our 1st anniversary went!

Missouri

I know I am a little late at posting our lastest blog but....

We had a great time in Missouri. We got in Saturday night and on Sunday we got up went to church ate some lunch with Jan, LaMar, MawMaw, MawMaw Jeanie, and Aunt Jen. That was fun! We then went to Blake's dad's side of the family! We had fun at MawMaw Flo's house, everybody was there and it was so good to see them! Blake and I just took it easy while in Missouri! We went and saw the movie Wanted with Angelina Jolie and Blake LOVED the movie... I wonder why? :) We went bowling and saw Hancock too! Then of course we saw TINA! Yes I got some new purses and some new wallets! I love Tina time! And it was fun to see her and her kids again! We had a blast in Missouri and cant wait to go back. Which will probably be Christmas! But here are a few pictures! By the way Jan made that American Flag dessert for Blake! We had $20 a piece and we decided to try our hand at the slot machines before going to the concert. We had been saving some change here and there for the last couple of months just to gamble with. But Blake and I are not good at the slot machines! We both lost our $20. But our friend went in with $30 and came out with $139. He got lucky! :) But on to the concert! It was so much fun! There were a lot of older women though that were screaming and holding up signs! We thought it was pretty funny! We werent allowed to take pictures but I snuck some in anyways! I couldnt go to the concert and not take some pictures right?!

Daisy

Well yesterday Blake and I got a dog! He passed Sniper School on Thursday June 5th. It was pretty cool! The class started out with 43 people and 33 graduated. Jan came up on Wednesday and surprised Blake. I told him I was going to the PX with my friend Hope and it took me like an hour to get back. He kept texting me, asking where I was and how much longer. But when I came home I had a little something for him..... his Mom! He was so excited! We spent the weekend hanging out and shopping! When Blake and I got married I had 2 more years left of school with Faulkner. Since we have been here I have been telling Blake that I wanted to back to school. So I finally bit the bullet and registered with Troy University. They are based out of Troy, Alabama. And I am taking online classes. I am currently taking Classical Mythology, Into to Sociology, Physical Science, Physical Science Lab, and Speech. I am hoping to have my degree in 8 to 10 months.

Memorial Day

Well today was Memorial Day and a fun one it was! It started out with us having to get Blake's oil changed since it was 1,000 miles overdue!

We actually did have a good memorial day, we had our friends BJ & Hope and their daughter Dailyn come over. They are from Montgomery and BJ was stationed here. Hope and I met online through myspace last October and we have been friends ever since. Dailyn is 14 months and she is the cutest little girl. But she isn't a fan of Blake. Which is very weird, because all kids usually like Blake, but I think that Dailyn is just a Momma's girl. So today Blake and BJ grilled steaks for us! The food was delicious and it was so good to be able to spend some time with friends since we couldn't be with our family!

But speaking of memorial day I saw this quote and I think that it truly describe what today is actually about!

"Memorial Day
A day to remember
True American heroes
Gone but NEVER forgotton"

Sniper School

Yesterday was the first day of Sniper School here in Washington. Blake is officially in the class so we dont have to worry about that anymore. But he still have to pass everything that comes along in the class. So keep praying for him. He will be going to work very early and not coming home until very late everyday for a month. He only gets 3 Sunday's off this whole month. But I know that he is so excited about getting his Bravo 4. If he does well in the class (which he will) his graduation date will be June 6th. I was a little jealous because I didn't see that when I started to blog so I found out where she got it and when I went there I found this background and I thought that it just fit us so perfect. The background is actually Seattle. We live about 45 minutes south of Seattle. The big tall thing is the Space Needle. This is a revolving restaurant. It takes 44 minutes to make a complete circle. It is an amazing view when you are up there. So if you ever want to come up for a visit Blake and I will take you! Promise!

Cirque du Soleil

On Sunday Blake and I went to see Cirque du Soleil in Seattle. We got there on Saturday and left on Tuesday! Our hotel was in Times Square! On Saturday night my mom and I went to see the Little Mermaid on Broadway! It was amazing! On Sunday we walked 11 1/2 hours! Talking about my feet hurting. We went to Central Park, The Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, Little Italy, The Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero, St. Patricks Cathedral and I cant forget The Naked Cowboy. And we shopped until we dropped. Literally! On Monday we went to the Upper East side,and SOHO. We did so much i can barely remember where all we went. I know you are probably wondering if we saw the Statue of Liberty! We were going to because I wanted to see it so so bad! But we heard from a girl in a shop that we shouldn't waste our time because it is so little. And the only way to get there is by a boat that took 2 hours. So we decided not to go and see it and just shop a little more! So we found a Statue of Liberty on the street and took a picture with it! One of the ladies that went with us lived in New York for 6 years. So she was our tour guide. So we basically just followed her! ha ha! It was so much fun! In the last picture is all the girls that went! My mom, Janet (the one that lived in NY for 6 years), Kristine, and Me.

Sniper School gone bad

Well Blake went down to Ft. Benning, Georgia and once he was there he was told that there were too many people scheduled to be in the class. They sent him back to Washinton and he will be trying at Sniper School again, but this time he will be in Washington. Sniper School is coming up to Ft. Lewis! YAY for us! It is the same thing as if he were in Georgia, but it will only be 4 weeks instead of 5 and he can come home every night! So that is my favorite part! Blake will be leaving Washington on Saturday for Sniper school! He will be going to Fort Benning, GA, where he will be gone for 5 weeks! He will get there on Saturday and process through and go to the shooting range on Sunday. He has to do well at the shooting range because if he doesn't he will be disqualified. So pray that he does well! Then on Monday he will have to pass his Physical Training Test, if he does not pass then he will be disqualified, so be praying for him on Monday too! He will graduate on May 9th.

I will be leaving on Monday to go to Alabama. Since I do not have a job at the moment I thought that this would be a great opportunity to go home and see my family! Which I am so excited! My mom and I will be going to New York on April 12th through April 15th. I cannot wait to go! I have never been to New York but Blake tells me that I will love it!

I will be able to see Blake while he is in sniper school, so I will update later and maybe with some pictures!

Hi

Hi!
